How Our Network Works

Who you talk to

When you reach out through Oksleep Tree Service, the person you end up talking with works for an independent tree provider. They are not an employee of this site. Think of a switchboard at a big building. The operator connects you, but the person at the desk you reach runs their own business.

What happens on the call

A provider will usually start with a few simple questions. Expect to describe the tree, its height, and what it is near, such as a house, wires or a fence. Tell them if it has already fallen or if limbs are hanging. If it is a storm situation, say so, because emergency tree removal is scheduled differently from a planned job. Photos help when the provider asks for them.

The provider may then offer a visit to look at the tree. Many jobs cannot be priced well from a phone call alone, since access, slope and nearby structures change the work.

What to ask a provider

A good question list keeps you in control. Try these:

  • Are you licensed and insured, and can you show proof?
  • Is the quote written, and does it list each task?
  • Does the price include hauling, wood chips and cleanup?
  • Is stump grinding included, or priced separately?
  • Who handles any permit, if one is needed?
  • How is the work scheduled if the weather turns?

Typical U.S. residential tree removal often runs from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on size, access and risk. Stump grinding is usually a smaller line item. These are only ranges, and your job may differ, so get the number in writing.

You are in control

You can ask questions, request more than one quote, and say no. Nothing about a request obligates you to hire anyone. Paper before price means you read the written scope first, then decide.
